I am encouraged! 

We had friends over a couple of days ago.  About 20 minutes before they were to arrive I asked Sylvia to tidy up the playroom.  I thought that would at least give her enough time to clear a path.

I was delighted to find the room cleaned with 10 minutes to spare!

It can be done!
